Cresta Boswell Obituary

Cresta Slaughter Boswell, age 31, of Greensboro, Georgia died Sunday, October 12, 2003 at her residence. She was born on November 8, 1971 in Greene County, to Preston Slaughter and Patricia Johnson. In 1989, she graduated from Morgan County High School where she was active in cheerleading, 4-H and other extracurricular activities. For the last few years, she has worked at Custom Dairy Equipment with her family. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Greshamville where she enjoyed working with the youth group.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Farrett Boswell of Greensboro, GA; two daughters, Anna Lynn and Victoria Boswell of the home; a son, Rob Boswell of the home; father, Preston Slaughter and mother, Mary Ann of the Greshamville Community; mother, Patricia Johnson and step-father, Danny of Sandersville, GA; a sister, April Lindsey of Sandersville, GA; a brother, Heath Slaughter and wife Crystal of Madison, GA; grandparents, Estelle Slaughter of Madison, GA and Grace and Harry Healey of the Greshamville Community; and a host of other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by a sister Miranda Slaughter.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Greshamville with Rev. Mike Pritchett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Charles Crumbley, Zippy Duvall, Bobby Lord, David Dunagan, Jeff Thurmond, Benjie Boswell and Ray Sellers. Honorary pallbearers are members of the New Hope Baptist Church Youth Group. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday night at the Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Youth Group, In Memory of Cresta S. Boswell, 1400 Farmington Road, Madison, GA 30650. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
