Connie Joan Payne Callaway of Greensboro, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the age of 67.  Born October 26, 1951 in Greensboro, GA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Bennett Payne and Katherine Snipes Payne.  Connie graduated from Greene County High School.  On June 22, 1971, she married Jerry Callaway.  For many years she was the Office Administrator for Plantation Cablevision.  The thing she enjoyed most was taking care of her grandchildren. She was a member of the West End Baptist Church in Greensboro, GA.
 
She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Jerry Callaway of Greensboro, GA; daughter, Julie Callaway of Madison, GA; sister, LuAnn Clark of Eatonton, GA; grandchildren, Susan Hart (Adam) and Abby Manders; a number of other relatives and many friends.  

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel in Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Dennis Garner officiating.  Serving as pallbearers are Adam Hart, Jimmy Callaway, Heath Hartwell, Flea Marchman, Danny Huff and Greg Brown.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Funeral Home.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
