Christine Osborne

Hilda Christine Osborne, 60, of Union Point, GA, died Friday, January 19, 2007 at her residence. Born on January 4, 1947 in Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late Bertie Cleon Osborne, Sr. and Nellie Amerson Osborne. She grew up in Union Point and graduated from Union Point High School in 1965. For over thirty years she was a shipping clerk at Chipman Union in Union Point. Christine was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved her family, enjoyed cooking and helping others.

She is survived by a sister, Kathleen Ogletree and husband Ed of Union Point, GA; a brother, John Osborne and wife Marilyn of Union Point, GA; three sisters-in-law, Jeanette Osborne of Stockbridge, GA, Reba Osborne of Macon, GA and Marcelyn Osborne of Warner Robins, GA; six nieces; seven nephews; several great nieces and great nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Merrill Osborne, Wray Osborne and Bertie Cleon Osborne, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 22, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Union Point with Rev. Colin Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Doug Osborne, Don Osborne, Mickey Osborne, Chris Osborne, Michael Osborne, Larry Osborne, Tim Osborne, Tommy Phelps, Harvey Vinson and Sandy Thornton. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday night, January 21, 2007 at McCommons Funeral Home in Greensboro, GA.
