Charles Lloyd Stephens, age 75, of Woodville, Georgia, died on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Woodville, he was born June 6, 1940 to the late Eugene Fielding “Slick” Stephens and Grace Hubbard Stephens.  Charles attended school in Woodville and on June 29, 1963, he married the former Mary Dawn Thompson.  He worked for RACO General Contractors, Inc in Atlanta as the foreman of construction retiring in 2002.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Union Point.  Charles enjoyed western tv shows, cooking BBQs, going on vacation and working in the yard, especially cutting grass.
 
Survivors include his wife, Dawn Stephens of Woodville, GA; son, Timothy L. Stephens (Irene) of Carlton, GA; three sisters, Valgene Stephens Haynes of Alabama, Virginia Stephens Robinson of Winterville, GA and Frances Stephens Guthrie of Good Hope, GA; brother, Billy Stephens of Bairdstown; two grandchildren, Chris Stephens of Athens, GA and Krystle Wood (Blaze) of Ohio; two great grandchildren, Landyn Wood and Hunter Stephens; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Callaway Funeral Home Chapel, 208 N. Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Bert Mathews officiating.  Interment will follow in the Woodville Cemetery, 1191 Peachtree Avenue E, Woodville, GA, 30669. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Stephens, Jimmy Hubbard, Ronnie Hubbard, Blaze Wood, Jason Hatfield and Josh Bobo.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night at Callaway Funeral Home.
