Charles Bullard

Charles Bullard, age 56, of Crawfordville, GA passed away suddenly on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, GA.  Born in Marks, MS on January 12, 1960, he was the son of the late James Thurston Bullard and Lillie Victoria Rutherford Bullard.  On November 26, 1983 he married the former Wanda Smith and they would have celebrated their 34th anniversary this year.  They moved to Lexington, GA from Mississippi in 2005 and moved to Crawfordville, GA in 2013.  All of his working career was in the recycling business first with his father and later as the owner and operator of Metal Processors where he recycled scrap metal.  Charles was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed being with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Smith Bullard of Crawfordville, GA; five children, Misty Tank (Troy) of Comer, GA, Charles “Bubba”  Bullard Jr. (Lori) of Waynesboro, MS, Wesley Bullard (Sarah) of Waynesboro, MS, Joshua Bullard of Crawfordville, GA and Justin Bullard (Chasity) of Comer, GA; brother, Larry Bullard (Nancy) of Enid, MS; three sisters, Pattie Taylor (Bobby) of Waynesboro, MS, Lou Ann Bullard of Grenada, MS and Brenda Thames of Waynesboro, MS; thirteen grandchildren; a number of other relatives and many friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Thurston “Red” Bullard and Rodney Bullard.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating.  Interment will follow in Center United Methodist Church Cemetery, Center Church Road, Stephens, GA 30667.  Serving as pallbearers are Scott McDowell, Cody McDowell, Justin Hill, Stacy Graham, Bobby Weaver and Brian Sisk.  Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Barbaree. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night at McCommons Funeral Home.   McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
