Charles Bryant Obituary

Charles J. “Too Tall” Bryant, age 70, of Siloam, GA, died Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Augusta. A lifelong resident of Greene County he was born on March 21, 1936 to the late Grady Hamp Bryant and Willie Mae King Bryant. He graduated from Greensboro High School. During his working career he sold insurance for Independent Life, bought and sold antiques and managed rental property that he owned. Too Tall was a member of Siloam Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling and entertaining his friends. He is survived by his wife, Sara Nell Seymour Bryant of Siloam, GA; three daughters, Cindy B. Credille and husband Barry of Siloam, GA, Angela B. Durham and husband Rob of the Veazey Community and Alyson B. Bryant and husband Brad of Gray, GA; five grandchildren, Brent Credille, Morgan Durham, Trey Durham, Harrison Bryant and Walker Bryant; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Kay Bryant in 1960. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro with Rev. Bert Mathews officiating. Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Wayne Corry, Don Channell, Jimmy Peugh, Lee Lord, L. P. “Peanut” O’Neal, Sidney Bryson and Dave Conger. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Merritt, Harvey Higdon, Don Ellis, Gary Robinson, Maner Ellenberg, Tom Channell and Jimmy Moore. The family requests that any memorials be made to the Siloam Methodist Church, c/o Shirley Channell, 3871 Highway 15 South, Greensboro, GA 30642.
