Carol Higgins Fallon passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Greensboro, GA after a very brief illness. She was born March 18, 1932 in New Haven, CT. She graduated Albertus Magnus College in 1954 with a degree in Sociology, and went on to become a social worker for the Catholic Social Services Bureau, and also taught 1st grade at Woolsey Elementary School in Fair Haven, CT. Carol was married to Edward James Fallon for 54 years, and lived all over the country with Ed and their 5 children during his career in the U.S. Air Force. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Milledgeville, GA. Carol is survived by her husband, Edward James Fallon; brother Joseph John Higgins, Jr. (Shirley); children Edward James Fallon II (Sandra), James Martin Fallon (Cynthia), Thomas John Fallon (Lauren), Carolyn Fallon Wall (Timothy), Patrick Edward Fallon (Robin); step daughters Mary Lea (Roy) and Connie Scott (Jim) and their families; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Visitation will be at 10:00 on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, GA, with mass following at 11:00.
