Burrell F. Adriance, Sr.

Burrell F. Adriance, Sr., age 77, of Greensboro, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA.  Burrell was born March 18, 1939 to the late Clifton John Adriance and Natalie Lydia Vastbinder Adriance in St. Petersburg, FL.  He graduated from Cohocton High School in Cohocton, New York.  On June 24, 1961 he married Doris Jean Tidwell with whom he had three children. Burrell was a long distance truck driver working for C. T. Harris, Inc. out of Deep Step, GA retiring in 2001.  He was a member of the Union Point Worship Center.  He loved being with his family and playing with his grandchildren.  He  also enjoyed working in his garden.

In addition to his loving wife of fifty-five years, Jean Adriance of Greensboro, GA, he is survived by his children, Burrell Adriance, Jr. and his wife Donna, Cheryl Swilley and her husband Richard and Michael Adriance and his wife Jessie; mother-in-law, Addie Jackson; sixteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, C. J. Adriance, Flora Cooper and Christine Black.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Union Point Worship Center, 208 Lamb Avenue, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Dennis Mitchell, Rev. Candy Arwood and Rev. Johnny Barrett officiating.  Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669.  Serving as pallbearers are grandsons: Joey (Adriance) Moss, Austin Adriance, Dylan Adriance, David Adriance, Ryan Swilley and Kyle Adriance.  Honorary pallbearer will be Craig Minter.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Union Point Worship Center.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
