Brett Rustin Peters

Brett Rustin Peters, 26, of Greensboro, Georgia, died on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in DeKalb County on February 3, 1981 he was the son of John and Glenda Peters of Greensboro. He graduated from Putnam County High School and Athens Technical College. He worked for Atlanta Comfort Systems. Brett was a member of First United Methodist Church of Greensboro and enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball and water skiing.

He is survived by his parents, John and Glenda Peters of Greensboro, GA; two brothers, Drs. Brandon Mark Peters and wife Romsel of Saraland, AL and Bragan Glenn Peters of White Plains, GA; grandmother Elizabeth Rawlinson of Birmingham, AL; and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Greensboro with Rev. Richard Chewning officiating. Interment will follow at Swords Methodist Church Cemetery in Buckhead. Serving as pallbearers are Keenan Stephens, Donnie Huth, Keven Seeley, Jesse Ramirez, Michael Jordan, Brandon Peters, Bragan Peters, Tyler Holt, and Jarod Holt. Honorary pallbearer will be Miss Fleming Holt. The family requests that any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Brain Tumor Research, 1684 Barnett Shoals Road, Athens, GA 30605. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at the Family Life Center of the First United Methodist Church. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
