Brenda Withrow Nachman, 60, of Evanston, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2003. She was born July 3, 1943 in Camden, Tennessee to the late Charles Edward "Charlie" Withrow Sr. and Helen Stanley Withrow of Greensboro, Georgia. After graduating from Greensboro High School in 1961, she attended Wesleyan College in Macon and received a degree in history and government. Later she obtained her doctorate degree from Loyola University in Chicago.
She was the loving wife of Dr. Richard Nachman of Evanston, Illinois and beloved mother of Karen Nachman and husband Andrew Faibishenko of Deerfield, Illinois and Kelly Amos and husband Timothy of Augusta, Georgia. Adored grandmother to Alex Amos, Isabelle Amos, Michael Faibishenko, Sarah Faibishenko, Jacob Faibishenko, and Daniel Faibishenko. She is also survived by her mother Helen Withrow of Greensboro, Georgia; a brother, Edward Withrow and wife Jan of Manchester, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home in Highland Park, Illinois. Interment services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Greensboro City Cemetery with Rev. Richard Chewning and Rev. Ed Nelson officiating. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that any memorials be made to the Alzheimer''s Disease Association, 4709 Golf Road, Suite 1015, Skokie, IL 60076 or to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 216, Greensboro, GA 30642. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday night at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
