Billy Wayne Marchman, Sr.

Billy Wayne Marchman, Sr., age 68, of White Plains, GA passed away Monday, December 30, 2019.  Born in Greensboro, GA on December 23, 1951, he was one of four children born to the late James Edward Marchman and Jesse Faye Underwood Marchman.  He attended school in Siloam and Greensboro.  He married the former Sandra Bryans on November 7, 1973.  For twenty years he worked for Fieldale Chicken Farms and spent twenty-five years with NIBCO as the lead maintenance mechanic retiring in 2014.  He was a devoted member of the Mt. Stephens Baptist Church in White Plains, GA where he served as a deacon. He was always willing to help others and loved welding, woodworking, wagon trains and his church.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who was loved dearly and will truly be missed by his family and friends.   
 
Billy Wayne is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Sandra Marchman of White Plains, GA. Also surviving are children, Zandy Cook (Fred) of Greensboro, GA, Kandy Marchman of Watkinsville, GA, Reid Ballard of the Greshamville Community and Billy “Boot” Wayne Marchman, Jr. (Lynn) of Watkinsville, GA; two brothers, Franklin “Flea” Lee Marchman and Jamie “Bobo” Marchman; eight grandchildren: Blake (Lauren), Beth, Brittany (Brock), Dakota (Lilly), Bailey, Austin, Allie and Abby; three great grandchildren, Zaylee, Brody and Blaze; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dianne Marchman Wheeler and granddaughter, Shelby Ballard.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Stephens Baptist Church, 6859 Edwards Road, White Plains, GA 30678 with Bob Beeland officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers are Fred Cook, Blake Cook, Dakota Ballard, Chip Merritt, Frank Moore and Jeff Smith.  Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Mt. Stephens Baptist Church: Charles Morgan, Ellis Morgan, Craig Morgan, Donald Clements, James Wheeler, Charlie Edwards and Tom McGibony.  The family will receive friends Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home.  The family request that any memorials be made to Mt.
