Beulah Jones Arthur

Beulah Jones Arthur of Greensboro, GA, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, GA.  She was 90.  Born in Lula, GA, she was the last of eight children born to the late Henry and Anna O’Shields Jones. For more than twenty-five years she worked for Lena Hy Garment Company in Greensboro. After they closed, she worked at Hometown Manufacturing for a few years.  Mrs. Arthur was a member of True Gospel Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Madison, GA.  She loved her family and enjoyed reading, sewing and especially her flower garden.  

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Beard of Greensboro, GA; a son, Thomas Vern “Shorty” Arthur (Bonnie) of Greensboro, GA; daughter-in-law, Louise Arthur; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Mosley Arthur; a son Dennis Delbert “Smiley” Arthur; and her seven siblings.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Callaway Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Long officiating. Interment will follow in Wisteria Cemetery, 211 N. Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669.  Serving as pallbearers are Raymond Arthur, Brian Arthur, Paul Goss, Doug Goss, Mike Black and Shorty Arthur.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Arthur, Tim Arthur and Chris Faulkner. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at Callaway Funeral Home.  Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
