Bennie Vivian Mullins Copelan
Bennie Vivian Mullins Copelan, age 95, of Lake City, Georgia formerly of Greensboro, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Lake City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Greene County on September 12, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Luther Vince Mullins and Annie Ruth Moncrief Mullins. She graduated from Penfield School and did clerical work for the Georgia State Patrol. She was also a homemaker and a member of the Penfield Baptist Church.
Mrs. Copelan is survived by a son, Daniel Moncrief Copelan and his wife Charlotte of Rex, GA; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Daniel Copelan and Michelle Copelan “Shelley” Barnes; three great grandchildren, Victoria Faith “Tori” Barnes, Cameron Lee Barnes and Ryan Barnes.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, (706) 453-2626, is in charge of arrangements.
