Benjamin Walker "Hot" Boswell, Sr., age 83, of Greensboro, Georgia died on Monday, November 25th, 2019 following a long illness. Hot was born on March 8, 1936, and was the son of the late Margaret and Paul Boswell, Sr. He attended school in Penfield, Georgia, and later graduated from Greensboro High School in 1954. After graduation, he attended Georgia Military College and the University of Georgia, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Hot excelled in ROTC at UGA, and after graduation was commissioned into the United States Army, where he proudly served his country for five years, thirteen months of which was in Vietnam.

Soon after, he became the Executive Director of the Georgia Milk Producers Association. In 1966, Hot decided to return to Greensboro where he joined his father and brother on the Boswell Dairy Farm.

Hot loved football, particularly the Georgia Bulldogs and watching his son and grandsons play in high school. He enjoyed his vacation home in the North Georgia Mountains, and loved gardening and working in his yard. He was a devoted member of the Penfield Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder for many years. Hot loved his family dearly, and was proud that he was fortunate enough to see his first great-grandchild, Porter.
