Barbara McClure Obituary

Barbara Jeanne Talley McClure, age 74, of Greensboro, Georgia, died on Friday, September 21, 2012 in Greensboro. Barbara was born in Memphis, TN on February 25, 1938 the daughter of Kathleen Boyle Beaugrand of Naperville, IL and the late Charles William Talley. She attended Central High School in Memphis, TN. She married Maxwell Dorr McClure in 1954. Until 1992 she worked as a Licensed Real Estate Broker for ReMax in Illinois. In June of 1992 they moved from Naperville, IL to Greene County. She was a loyal member of Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church where she served as a caseworker for St. Vincent De Paul Society and was a member of the Women''s Guild. Barbara was a founding member, board member and volunteer for the Greene County Christian Outreach. She enjoyed making gifts and writing poetry for family and friends.

In addition to her mother, Kathleen Boyle Beaugrand of Naperville, IL, she is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Maxwell Dorr McClure of Greensboro, GA; two daughters, Kathleen Lee Grant and husband Clay of Newnan, GA and Barbara Ellen Jelinek and husband Dan of Thousand Oaks, CA; mother-in-law, Mary Belle McClure of Greensboro, GA; four grandchildren, Finley Grant, Jordan Grant, Nick Jelinek and Alex Jelinek; a number of other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Melinda Daily; a brother Robert Talley and a sister, Charleen Wade.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel in Greensboro with the Very Reverend G. Philip Ryan, V.F. officiating.
