Barbara Carol Griffeth “Bunny” Herrington of Union Point, GA died on Monday, January 22, 2018 at her residence. She was 66. Barbara was born in Athens, GA on October 3, 1951, the daughter of the late Alton White Griffeth, Jr. and Ruby Jean Overton Arnold.  She graduated from Greene County High School.  For many years Bunny was a dispatcher for the City of Union Point. Later she worked for Lake Oconee DUI & Defensive Driving Institution as the school coordinator and administrative assistant. She enjoyed watching television and taking care of animals.

Barbara is survived by her daughters Beegee Susanne Herrington of Savannah, GA, and Miranda Jean Compton of Lakemont, GA; grandchildren Malina Nicole Rawlins and Alexander Catherine Rawlins; other relatives and friends, including Randy Herrington of Lakemont, GA, Connie and Jerry Vandiver and their children, Jody and Christy of White Plains, GA, David and Barbara Overton and their children, Dixie and Wade of Eatonton, GA, Skipper and Rita Overton of the Veazey Community; and her two beloved cats Millie and Paris.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Callaway Chapel, 208 N. Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Bryant Miller officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Bailey Vandiver, J.R. Kimbrough, Petey Goss, Gregory Alexander and Len Gibson. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at Callaway Funeral Home in Union Point, GA.  Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
