Audrey Finch Neville
Audrey Finch Neville age 89 of Palm Harbor, FL formerly of Greensboro, GA passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at St. Mark Assisted Living Center. Born in Thomaston, GA on June 19, 1927, Audrey was the daughter of the late Dewey Hopkins Finch and Nellie Catherine Ashley Finch. She grew up in Greensboro, GA and graduated from Greensboro High School in 1944 where she was an honor student and a member of the Beta Club. After high school she worked for Doubleday Publishers in Accounting as the assistant to the supervisor for twenty-five years. She was also part owner of Gone Fishing Marina in Montauk, NY. While living in New York, she met and married Henry Clay Neville on December 19, 1947. In 1989 they moved back to Georgia and made their home in Madison. After moving to Madison, they spent most of their winters in the Florida Keys and enjoyed traveling in their motor home. At the time of Henry’s death, they had been married sixty-two years. Shortly after his death she moved to Palm Harbor, FL to live with her son Michael and his wife Mary Ann. Audrey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro.
In addition to her beloved husband, Henry Neville who passed away June 11, 2010, she was preceded in death by her only sister, Susie Fitzpatrick. She is survived by her son, Thomas Michael Neville, his wife Mary Ann of Palm Harbor, FL; and her nephew Walter Fitzpatrick, his wife Donna, their children and grandchildren. She is also survived by a cousin, William Ashley, his wife Janet; other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel. Interment will follow in the Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at McCommons Funeral Home.
