Aubrey Gene Anderson, age 68, of Buckhead, GA, and affectionately know as "Pappy" died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Anderson was a native of Roswell, GA, born on June 1, 1943 to the late Hoyt Anderson and Evelyn Jeffries Anderson. He was a graduate of Roswell High School and later took several electrical classes related to his work. He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army. He was the Fulton County Supervisor of Maintenance for all the Federal Buildings in Atlanta retiring in 1996. He lived in Loganville and then moved to Flowery Branch living there for a number of years. On January 2, 1998 he married the former Mary Veal and they bought a home on Lake Oconee in Putnam County. After moving to the lake, he was the owner and operator of Shuckers Bar & Grill in Eatonton, GA from November of 2001 until 2009. He was a member of the Lake Oconee Elks Lodge, the Loganville American Legion and a mason.

He was preceded in death by his second wife, Mary Lou Baker Anderson in January of 1997; and siblings, James Anderson and Edith Anderson Carter. In addition to his wife, Mary Veal Anderson of Buckhead, GA, he is survived by daughters, Kellie Driver and husband Doug of Loganville, GA, Kim Sorrows of Buckhead, GA, Dena Anderson and Billie Anne Baker of LaGrange, GA and Kelda Corn of Buckhead, GA; a sister, Janice Durham and husband Edwin of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Bethany Langley, A. J. Langley, Rachael Pass, Brooks Driver, Brand Driver, Randa Pass and Tristan Anderson; great grandchildren, Alivia Langley and Alix Rogers; nieces and nephew, Tabby Durham, Rachel Cauthon, Faye Cauthon and Travis Durham; and a number of other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Terry Shelnutt officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at McCommons Funeral Home.
