Anna Louise Robling Mortensen, age 79, of Greensboro, GA, passed away on December 17, 2013 at Tender Personal Care Home in Lawrenceville, GA. Born in Lawton, OK on March 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Robling and Katherine Tyner Robling. She graduated from Lawton High School in the class of 1951. On September 10, 1952 she married Davis K. Mortensen in Fort Sill, OK. She had worked as a secretary and bank teller, but most of her life she was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling, gardening, decorating and boating. She was a member of Lake Oconee Lutheran Church in Eatonton, GA, where she taught Sunday School.
In addition to her husband, Davis K. Mortensen of Greensboro, GA, she is survived by three daughters, Stephanie O’Brien (Mike) of Evans, GA, Beth Etheridge (Jimmy) of McDonough, GA and Ejna Mitchell (Keith) of Buford, GA; a sister, Phyllis Cooper (Sam) of Duncan, OK; two brothers, Richard Robling (Phyllis) of Pueblo, CO and Melvin Robling (Jean) of Hillard, FL; six grandchildren, Jamee Smith (Phil), AnnaBeth Mitchell, Katherine Mitchell, Drew Etheridge, Jake Mitchell and Hugh O’Brien; a number of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lake Oconee Lutheran Church, 1089 Greensboro Road, Eatonton, GA 31024, Telephone 706-485-4600, with Pastor Ron Schornhorst and Pastor Jim Stoltenberg officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at McCommons Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Jim Cerny, John Seglund, Barney Ross, Ken Piepenbrink, Janis Lipacis and Bob Stallings. Interment will be held, Monday, December 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Granly Danish Cemetery in Hurley, MS with Heritage Funeral Home, Moss Point, MS (228) 475-9861 in charge of arrangements.
