Amy Dell Tucker Moody, age 90, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at Eatonton Health Care Center. A lifelong resident of Greene County, she was born August 14, 1913 to the late William Jason Tucker and Hattie Iola Blackston Tucker. She attended Union Point School. During her working career, she worked as a spinner at Mary Leila Cotton Mill and later worked as a waitress at Mrs. Geer''s Cafe. She was a member of West End Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Zerah Moody Jordan and husband Dub of Greensboro, GA, Ilee Moody Still of Conyers,GA and Imogene Moody McAfee and husband Frank of Fayetteville, GA; ten grand children, Donna Galler, Lisa Jackson, Diane Foster, Mark Jordan, Teresa Cochran, Keith McAfee, Karen Temple, Jeff Moody, Mike Moody and Ed Moody; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Moody and a son, Ronald "Ronnie" Jason Moody.
Services will be held Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Dennis Garner officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery in Greensboro. Serving as pallbearers are grandsons and great grandson, Mark Jordan, Jeff Moody, Mike Moody, Ed Moody, Keith McAfee and Jason Jordan. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time for the service Saturday at the Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 1060 Gaines School Road, Athens, Ga 30605. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
