Amy Lindsey Obituary

Amy McArthur Lindsey, 47, of Greensboro (Lake Oconee), Georgia, lost her brave battle with colon cancer on November 29, 2012, at her home. Amy was a near life-time resident of Greene County and a graduate of Nathanael Greene Academy.

Amy is survived by her husband Steve; son, Taylor Lindsey, (and his girlfriend Celie Davis); parents, William "Mac" and Jerri McArthur; sisters, Ray and Juliana; nieces, Gabriella and MacKenzie; Jay Lindsey, Marie Lindsey, Debra Tumlin, (and extended Lindsey and Hopkins families); aunts, Mary Martin and Shirley Rainey; and many dear friends.

The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to all the friends, neighbors and family who have extended many visits, phone calls, thoughts and prayers during Amy''s illness. A memorial service with the family will be held at McCommons Funeral Home Greensboro, GA, on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers it is requested a donation be made in Amy''s memory to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
