Allen Wayne Bryan
Allen Wayne Bryan, age 63, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Monday, February 23, 2015. A lifelong resident of Greensboro, he was born on October 25, 1951 to the late Willie Lee Bryan and Elsie Mae Hubbard Bryan. He attended Greensboro High School and married his high school sweetheart, Linda Wood, on June 21, 1968. His working career began in Union Point working as a mechanic with Alvin Reese. He then drove for Gordon’s which later became Golden Flake and Jack’s Cookies. He also ran his own snack delivery business, worked for Jarrard’s Service Station and at the time of his death was working for Metal Processing. When he was younger he did a lot of hunting, but he also enjoyed fishing with his grandsons. Most recently he enjoyed salt water fishing in Florida and Savannah. Allen attended Bethesda Baptist Church. Allen had a great since of humor and will be greatly missed by all of his friends and loved ones.
Survivors include his wife of nearly forty-six years, Linda Bryan of Greensboro, GA; two sons, Jason Bryan and wife Patricia and Jeremy Bryan and wife Stephanie both of Greensboro, GA; grandchildren, Will Bryan, C. J. Bryan, Kenny Bryan, Caitlynn Bryan and Cooper Bryan; and a sister, Edna Armour and husband Cecil of Homer, GA; aunt, Jewell Bryan; cousin, Daniel Bryan and many, many friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Lee Bryan.
Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Bruce Lovin and Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2730 Walker Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Wood, Steven Thompson, Charles Chambliss, Brant Edmunds, Travis Underwood and R. J. Holcomb. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Armour, Glen Taylor, Ronnie Wood, Thomas Vandiver, Darrell Vandiver, Roger West, Charles Bullard, and David Evans. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
