Alice Baugh Lovern

Alice Baugh Lovern, 93, of Madison, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Madison Health and Rehabilitation in Madison.  She was born in Logan, Utah on March 4, 1921, to the late Orson Baugh and Gladys Norman.  She grew up in Utah and was a graduate of the University of Utah where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree.  During her working career Alice had many wonderful jobs entertaining and singing even hosting her own television show in San Francisco during the 1950’s.  She also worked as a Beauty Consultant for I. Magnin & Co. in San Fransisco and Santa Barbara, California.  Before retiring in 1991, she worked for Cunard Cruise Lines traveling the world.  In 2013 she moved to Morgan County from Kennesaw, GA to be closer to her son in Madison.  She derived much pleasure in sharing her talents with others from singing, painting, gardening flowers and Bunka, a type of Japanese embroidery. Most of all she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  While living in Santa Barbara, CA, she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She was also a member of the Red Hat Society in Santa Barbara.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Daniel Lovern; a son, Gregory Charles Faddis; and siblings, Ruth Smith and Earl Baugh.  She is survived by a son, Robert Norman Faddis of Madison, GA; seven grandchildren, Jarrett Robert Faddis, Matthew Gregory Faddis, Kelly Lynn Faddis, Chris Webb and Heath Webb; and six great grandchildren.
 
A Memorial Service and Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date in Logan, Utah.  She will be buried in the family lot next to her mother in the Logan Cemetery.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
