Alice Lankford Obituary

Alice Barker Lankford, 64, of Riverdale, Georgia died Thursday, January 29, 2004 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. A native of Swain County, North Carolina, she was born December 27, 1939 to the late Thadeous Barker and Mary Elizabeth Barker. She attended Bryson City Schools and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Clark E. Lankford, of Riverdale, GA; two daughters, Trina Lankford of Alpharetta, GA and Tina Lankford of Dahlonega, GA; a sister, Ruth Woodard and husband Walter of Bryson City, NC; and a brother, Edward Barker of Bryson City, NC.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, February 1, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Bairds Baptist Church Cemetery in Bairdstown with Rev. Lawrence Griffith officiating. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
