Callaway Funeral Home & Georgia's Lake Country Crematory now has an onsite crematory that can handle oversize and obese or overweight cremations up to 1000 pounds and are Lake Oconee's and Georgia's Lake Country Crematory. Located in the heart of Georgia's Lake Country at 208 N. Rhodes Street in Union Point, Georgia we are this areas only family owned and operated funeral home and crematory and have been serving the surrounding areas in Georgia (including Greensboro, Union Point, Penfield, Greshamville, Woodville, Siloam, White Plains, Liberty, Veazey, Macedonia, Maxeys, Crawfordville, Centennial, Robinson, Sparta, Eatonton, Madison, Lake Oconee, Greene County, Putnam County, Morgan County, Taliaferro County, Hancock County) for over 100 years and 5 generations, and now we add this website to our list of family-centered services. It has always been the policy of McCommons Funeral Home, Callaway Funeral Home & Georgia's Lake Country Crematory to make you aware of all your options where Funeral Arrangements for a loved one are concerned and the cost of those services. The disclosures in this price list are made in accordance with the requirements set forth by the Federal Trade Commission and these prices have been derived by using generally accepted practices.
It is our desire and your right to have as complete an understanding as possible concerning the cost of the services you select; if there is anything you do not understand about the cost of the goods and/or services you select for your loved one please ask for an explanation and do not leave until we have provided you with a complete understanding of your selections to your satisfaction.
The number one factor in our services is the time involved in terms of our personnel and the use of our facilities and equipment so that we might better serve you. The maintenance of this service, equipment and facilities is never ending; because it must be available 24 hours a day every day of the year including holidays. Thus, ours is a 168-hour week as opposed to the accepted standard 40-hour week. Many phases of our work are apparent, others are not. No two services are exactly alike. Traditions, customs, social standing, personal wishes, financial ability and numerous other factors have an influence on each service. With our services we must conform to meet the needs and desires of each and every family.

“In the event a surviving family member is not 100% satisfied with any aspect of the services provided by McCommons Funeral Home, we will personally make every effort to correct the situation immediately. If the situation cannot be corrected, your family will receive a full refund for that portion of the service. This is our promise to insure your family’s complete satisfaction.”
