John Edward Steadman

John Edward Steadman of Greensboro, GA died on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the age of 75 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 23, 1948, and later moved to Berwyn, IL.  He was the only child of the late John Francis Steadman and Mildred Kleifgas Steadman. He graduated from the University of Illinois with an undergraduate in engineering and the University of Chicago with a Masters in Business. He married Pamela Sue Lausas on January 8, 1972 in Chicago, IL. During his married life, they lived in Arlington Heights, IL,  Guilford England, Inverness, IL, Southlake, TX, Pittsburgh, PA, Syracuse, NY, before retiring to Greensboro, GA. For thirty years he had a successful career as the Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for Motorola, Inc. Then he was Vice President of Acquisitions and Strategic Alliances for Welch Allyn. After retirement and moving to Greensboro, he served as Business Manager for Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church until 2023, where he was also a member.

John was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather as well as a faithful friend to many during his lifetime. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Oliver and Pearl and entertaining with his wife.

In addition to his wife, Pamela Sue Steadman, of Greensboro, GA, John is survived by his daughter, Jill Steadman Foley and her husband Adam of Key Largo, FL; son, Brett Edward Steadman and his wife Kristin of Parker, CO; grandchildren, Mallory, Jeremy and Delaney Steadman; a number of other relatives and many, many friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, March 23rd 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church, 6341 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro, GA with Father Michael Silloway officiating. Please join the family at a reception following the service at the Oconee Brewing Company from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, 202 N. West Street, Greensboro, GA 30642.
