I was so touched by this unique young man. I do not know you or never had the pleasure of meeting your son but know that he has touched hearts without even knowing them. God has blessed you and your family with such great memories.

We wanted to express our sympathies to you at this your time of grief we pray you be strengthened in the days ahead. We like to share a thought that gave us comfort. At Daniel 12:2 , "And many of those asleep in the dust of the earth will wake up, some to everlasting life ..." May this thought bring you comfort as it did our family during our time of loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. May God comfort your mourning hearts. I pray that you find comfort in Revelation 21:3-5. This scripture paints a picture of a world that is very different from what we see today. A world with no more sickness, pain or death...and it is not a dream, it is a promise from God. He promises to reverse the effects of death and resurrect your precious John. You wil never have to say a painful goodbye ever again!
(John 11:11-14, 41-44; Isaiah 33:24)

Les and Carol,
I just read Charles’ obituary in today’s paper and am so very sorry for all of our loss....because a little bit of Charles belonged to all of us.  I am also sorry I didn’t know about the funeral being in Bostwick, for I certainly would have attended.  I know you know what the life of Charles meant to so many.  I would have loved to seen him “all grown up!” — his picture looks so good.
Please know I am thinking of all of you and remembering special times with Charles....many years ago.
