|I was priviledged to be included in your family when I met Mary our first year of high school. Sue was little and Joyce was a little younger than Mary and I. I believe Herman and Robert were still at home too, not sure. Regardless, all of you accepted me with open arms and I spent much of my formidable years with your family. Mary and I were always together.
What a wonderful thing that your Mom and Dad, newly married, accepted the responsibility of Eva's brothers and sisters. I think Joyce was a newborn, when she, Mary, Herman and Robert came to live with them. This love of family was a testiment to who they truly were. Mary always thought of Eva as her Mom, and to me she was her Mom. How blessed I was by knowing and loving them.
Of course, I was influenced by these wonderful people, and hope I still reflect the goodness they embodied and taught. I send my love and sympathy to you all.

|Ms. Eva was such a wonderful lady. She was so giving, upbeat and a joy to be around. She touched the lives of so many people through her ministry of making blankets. She helped make two beautiful blankets for my wife Miriam who has dementia. These blankets are Miriam's favorites and have brought many hours of comfort to her. We treasure the blankets as we do the memory of Ms. Eva. My sympathy to you in your loss.

|What a blessing this lady was. Always with a smile on her face and you just know she loved being around you. May peace and her love keep you and your family in the coming days ahead.
