So saddened to hear of Mrs. Calton's death.  My mother and step-mother both thought a lot of Jennie and both talked about her often.  I know your family will miss her and our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

I was so very, very sorry to hear of your mother's death on Friday morning.  It was much sooner than I had expected.
You have been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be so in the weeks ahead.
May you find comfort in the wonderful memories you have of the past, and in the special time you spent together these past few months.

Knoxie and Bill,  So sorry to hear about Mrs. Jennie!  She was such a sweet person and we loved her!!  I was in the Wayside UDC with her and also retired from working at the Post Office in Union Point!!!  Larry's youngest brother, Keith, is married to Cheryl McRay and they were married  in your mother's gazebo and this was beautiful many years back!!  A tour of your mother's home, I came after work and she carried me on a personal and was so much fun for the both of us. We will have your families in our thought and prayers for weeks to come.  She  was a true Southern lady.

I am so sorry for your loss.   I had always admired and respected Ms. Jennie from a distance.    It has been a joy and privilege to get to know her better in the last couple of years.   She loved to talk about Daddy and flowers and how it was so special to "Aunt Dell" that Pope Steele would bring his family to visit her every Christmas Day.   My sisters and I would take our new baby doll or favorite Santa gift to show Ms. Dell who would just carry on about how precious our dolls were, etc.   I know that you have similar sweet memories of Ms. Jennie.  I pray that God comforts each of you during this time of sadness.  In Christian love, Sandy

I am Sherrie Willoughby Sparger, and my dad was Albert Willoughby, son of Milton & Maude Willoughby.  Jack Willoughby was Dad's brother.  My sister, Janet, and I spent many summers in Union Point, and Ms. Jennie was always so sweet to us.  We loved coming to church and seeing her.  Dad and Mom (Elaine) would always get together with Ms. Jennie and her husband when we came to town.  Condolances to the family.

Bill, I'm very sorry to hear about your mother. I didn't know her, and the only thing I know about her is that she raised a fine son.

Knoxie and Med, so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. Sorry we were out of the country, because I would have been at the services if at home. She was a great lady and one of the last of her generation which held Union Point together. I will always remember and be thankful for her swapping tea pots with my moher so the Sibley family silver service could be   put together again. I trust you and Med are well. Sibley

Very sad to learn of Miss Jennie's passing.  She was a god send to
the families of the Methodist church in Union Point.  I was fortunate
to be one of her Sunday School students in my early years.  She will
be deeply missed.
