Dear Sam, Please accept my condolences on the death of your wife, Kay. Jim Choomack sent us the information today and I did not read my emails until late in the evening. Know that you are in my prayers and thoughts. May you get through these difficult times by putting your hands in the name of the Lord. Long ago, a minister in Washington DC said that no one gets out of this life alive, and that we all have an appointment with the Lord. It is always difficult for those who are left to grieve and you will miss your Kay, but you now have an angel working for you. Sincerely, Cecelia

Ms. Gutherie was my seventh grade teacher at Watkinsville School in the early fifties. She was a pretty lady. She let us sing patriotic songs and say the pledge of allegiance. Her husband was a Second Lt in or going into the service soon and she had some anxiety about that. So sad to read about her personal losses over the succeeding decades. May God Bless her Family.

Dear Charlotte and Laura, Joe V emailed me about Kay. It doesn't seem that long ago that we played together on the dusty roads. We were fortunate to have such terrific cousins. Kay had a full, meaningful life, and I know she will be missed. I hope to visit Georgia in the fall, as I am retiring this summer. I will rent a car and attempt to see as many relatives as I can. May God bless you both. Love, Cherry Bethea
