Bill, Denise, and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked at Boswell when Mrs. Dickers came into our facility and I fell in love with on the first day. I know she will be missed, but I know she is with her sweet husband that has waited a long time for her. I pray that God will give all of you comfort during this difficult time. May God bless you all and you will remain in my thoughts and prayers. Paige

Aunt Blanche (AB) was a true treasure. She blessed our lives for 45 years. She was the matchmaker for Denise and I in 1968 and spent virtually every Christmas with us, a living "Santa Claus" during those years. She brought joy and friendship to all who knew her. I enjoyed listening to AB and my dad, Jack (her younger brother)talk about old times and how they used to compete as kids. They still acted like little kids when playing games at our house during the Christmas season. Together, they brought a world of love and joy to our home. Heaven is gaining an Angel and we have lost a wonderful family member. God Bless you AB, rest in peace and thanks for the memories.

We have many fond memories of Aunt Blanche. We remember her determination on the ski slopes in Steamboat - we actually shared the beginner catwalks on our first excursions with the family. She was always very kind in opening her home in Chatham to all the McCafferty clan and who could forget her ham loaf. Thank you for allowing us to share Aunt Blanche with all the Shirey family.

I have been blessed being a part of the Shirey family since 1960 when Jim and I started dating. Aunt Blanche was a very special part of our lives. She was Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the most thoughtful and caring lady. In 1976, she was the tour guide for me and my group of twelve high school seniors for NYC and took us to Central Park, Tavern on the Green, UNYC, and the Museums. My students fell in love with her and considered her their AB, too! The wonderful memories will keep her with me forever. Thank you Aunt Blanche for being a part of my life. I miss you and love you very much. Karen

I remember many wonderful trips to New Jersey to see Aunt Blanche and Uncle Dick. A.B. was a great tour guide of New York City. We met her at work once and I was amused to see her change into her practical tennies with her business suit to walk around the city. It took my breath away to hear that she passed away on my mother's (her sister's) birthday. Mom would have been 99. Thank you, Bill and Denise, for all you did for Aunt Blanche.

Aunt Blanche, in so many ways, has been 'lost' in dementia for years now, but with her peaceful passing, I believe with all my heart that God welcomes the spirited, feisty, generous, amazing woman and angel that reigned over the Shirey family and will forever be in our hearts! Be at peace, AB, I love you so much!!
