My love and deepest sympathy. I just got home from some trips and found the email about Mr. Blanchard. He was a dear friend to Howell and me. I enjoyed his visit on my dock when we could watch the Martins. He was so kind to bring me new gourds. I pray the Lord will comfort you and give you happy memories in the days ahead. Love, Jane Cobb3

Uncle Harry was a man who always thought of others. Always a smile, always an "I love you"! I know that my Mother and Uncle Gary were there to welcome him home. To Aunt Claire, Nancy, James and family...where there is a hole in our hearts, may the knowledge that one day we will see them all again make our hearts whole! Love you all!

Nancy and Family, I am so sorry to hear of the death of Harry. I had the pleasure of working with him while working at the Greene Cty. Chamber and he was the epitome of a Southern Gentleman. He always had a smile and a positive thought to say about everyone. He loved his community and served it faithfully for many years. May God wrap His loving arms around you during this difficult time. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

I worked with Harry in the 1970's in the Atlanta office of the USGS.I enjoyed going in the field with him a couple of times running barometric levels to wells, riding around NE Georgia, and eating barbecue wherever we could find it. Harry was a good-natured, honorable, and good man at all times. We need more men like him today. To the family: we loved him, too.

I worked with Harry during the first 10 years of my career. He set a high standard for hard work. He worked from dawn to dusk to get the job done. He had a great sense of humor and what an appetite! He knew all of the best eating establishments throughout the state. After Harry retired, when visiting various work areas in the state, folks would always ask, "where is that tall fella?" He definitely left his mark on Georgia, and the USGS--His field notes are present throughout our data files and are referred to frequently. It was a pleasure to know him.
