Shirley, Irene's and my prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family in this difficult time. Jerry was a good friend and supervisor to me during my years at Upjohn. He supported me and was loyal to me like no other supervisor. I'm delighted to hear of his two "hole-in-ones" while in Georgia. I've not been able to accomplish that feat. Best wishes to you in the months ahead. Joe Atkinson

Shirley, Jerry was a great man. I worked with him some at Upjohn, but knew him to be kind and well liked by everyone. May God keep you in his arms as you work through this time of loss. We will miss him.

Dear Shirley, We were so sorry to read in the Journal of Jerry's death. (We have been in Mexico since January and read the Journal via computer.) You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We recognize that this has been a long struggle and now he is at peace. Hopefully you can be too. Would love to have you stop in at Silver Lake when you are back in Michigan. Our love, Dick and Mary Sue
