Charles was "one of a kind". He was a most interesting individual and I will miss our phone conversations and occasional visits.

To the McKinley Family

I am sorry for your loss. Mr. McKinley will be missed at the Greene County Library. He kept us on our toes and we have learned so much by serving Mr. McKinley's reading needs. He would always challenge us. There were only a few times we were able to meet the challenge. He became a friend to all the staff members. When he was no longer able to come to the library we would look forward to his calls. He was one of our best patrons and we are sadden by his death. Our lives have been enriched by knowing Charles McKinley and he will be missed by us all.

Charles was a fine, knowledgeable, talented, Christian, friend. He always appreciated the simple things of life and was thankful for the different seasons of the year. He enjoyed beautiful flowers, trees, and gardening and talking with his neighbors in Siloam. We shall miss him!

Will always remember Mr. Charles being a friend to Mama and she baking him pies. They had many an intellectual debate and were true friends till the end. He was a very good man and neighbor.
