Diane Davies Moldenhauer of Greensboro, GA passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at her home at the age of 77. She was surrounded by family and friends during her last days. She was born in Red Wing, Minnesota, on December 9, 1939 to the late Charles Evan Davies and Marian Healy Davies. She graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science in Education. On March 24, 1960 she married "Moldy" and spent 54 happy years. During their years together they lived in many different states and embraced the opportunities of meeting new people.  Some of Diane's passions were: the chorus,mission trips, PEO, golf, reading, travel, eating out, family, and seeing someone she knows. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Greensboro, GA.  

Diane is survived by two daughters, Julie M. King of Greensboro, GA and Lynda S. Hawk (Jeff) of Loveland, OH; son, Jeff Moldenhauer of Maineville, OH; brother, John “Jack” Davies (Pat) of Minneapolis,MN; grandchildren, Jesse King, Travis King, Lindsay Keogh (Michael), Justin Hawk, Kasey Hawk, Tanner Hawk, and Jessica Hawk ; great grandchild, Thatcher Claude Keogh; and her beloved dog, Betsy.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Allen Moldenhauer.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church - South Campus, 4741 Carey Station Road, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Mike Morgan and Rev. Hugh Hendrickson officiating. The family requests that any memorials be made in memory of Diane Moldenhauer to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Assn. for Research, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC. 20090-6011 or the First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 216, Greensboro, GA 30642.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. We have many good memories of times spent with Diane and Moldy at Mexican Train dominoes, Green County Habitat and the FUMC mission trip to Mexico.

We are so terribly sorry for your loss. We knew both Diane and Moldy as we were residents of Reynolds for 12 years. We now live in Florida. Please know that your mother will be in our thoughts and prayers.

My sincere condolences to the family. I have many fond memories of Moldy and Diane both serving with me on committees at Greene County Habitat for Humanity. I will miss her.
