I just read it & I'm sad to hear of Ruth's passing. I send my thoughts & prayers to her family & to all who loved her. I too loved Ruth. She was an amazing & loving woman with a huge heart for God & people.

We were prayer partners for years & her ongoing prayers were always for all her (very loved) family members. She especially prayed that all her loved ones would choose to be be a part of God's family. She didn't want any to be left out. She always prayed & sought to be closer & closer to Jesus, her Lord & Savior.

Ruth was known for her southern CHARM & HOSPITALITY. I spent many evenings at her home for pot-luck suppers, doing Bible Studies, & watching the boat parade. She allowed my husband & I to help her around the house some in her later years.

Ruth was a leader & a driving force for good & for God's will within our church. She was a mentor & role model for us younger women & was always introducing people she thought would work well together. Doing this resulted in much great work for God in the church & beyond.

She was instrumental in helping & praying for the opening of a pregnancy center in DeLand & her prayers were answered. Ruth supported Grace House Pregnancy Center from 2000 until she moved to Georgia in her recent years.

Though I am sad about her leaving, I am thrilled that she is finally seeing Jesus face-to-face & being very close to Him! That was something she looked forward to.

I will miss her gentle, eager spirit.

Praying for the family at the difficult time.

Ruth was such an inspiration, mentor and fellow prayer partner to me while we lived in DeLand, FL. Always so generous allowing me to collect citrus from her many trees...and the Key Lime Pies she would make for my husband! He would never turn one down!!

We spent many hours together and even had prayer time together on the telephone! What a wonderful lady who was filled by the Holy Spirit and did much to further the Kingdom of God!

She will be missed here on earth, but I know she is with the Lord Jesus Christ and I will look forward to seeing her again!

Blessings,
