He also had season tickets to the Atlanta Falcons.  He enjoyed taking family and friends to the various sporting events.  For many years he headed the American Heart Fund in Greene County and was a member of the Greene County Booster Club.  He was a charter member of Reynolds Plantation Golf Club.

Mrs. Kay and family, Greene County lost one of our best this week. Neal was so loved by all. What a man of God! He was in Greshamville this Fall for our revival and blessed us with his piano and singing. I am so thankful that I was able to talk with him. We laughed, as my Father always picked on Neal and would say, "Shoot the piano player." My Mother went to revival just to hear him. He meant so much to so many! I pray that you will find comfort in knowing that he is in the heavenly choir now, joined by his sweet Robbie.
Love to you,

Kay and family,
Neal was always so pleasant, complimentary and never seemed to be or get upset about anything. Our little area of the world was made so much better and brighter by his sharing his musical talent with so many and anytime he was needed or wanted. The scholarship he established in Robbie's name gave opportunities to many students that they would not have had otherwise. He will be greatly missed by many. Our deepest sympathy to all of you.

Neal's passing is mourned not only by his close family and relatives, but all those who knew him in Greene and surrounding counties. He was a very talented, friendly, and unassuming person who touched so many with his musical gifts that he shared with hundreds of people over the years during times of tragedy and in times of joy in their lives. Neal was a Christian gentleman who always had a ready smile and a friendly greeting for everyone. To me, he embodied all the qualities Paul spoke about in Galations 5:22 which are "...love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control." A good man, who will be sorely missed, has now gone on to his reward in Heaven.

All of our hearts are breaking. Neal has been a friend to me and my family for over 40 years. Words can not express my feelings and especially the feelings of everyone who knew him. My Daddy thought the world of Neal and he had told us that Neal was a true gentleman and scholar. Blessings to everyone from the Stewart- Stinchcomb-Callaway and Williams families.

My family extends heartfelt sympathies to Kay and all the Dolvin family. Neal was like a another brother, my best friend that I did not see often enough, and just a great "all-round" good person. He had an infectious smile and always made other people smile. He was a good Christian person and shared his extraordinary musical talents to the comfort and enjoyment of others.

He and I played trumpet in the very first GHS Tiger Band. Being part of that unique group of individuals was special and Neal made it extra special. Many of us in that band still stay in touch and continue to love and admire each other.

Unfortunately, I'll not be able to attend the visitation and service for Neal but you can rest assured, he, Robbie and the members of his family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Rest in peace my dear friend and condolences to the Dolvin family.

I just don't know what to say other than I know he is so happy to be with Ms. Robbie and at piece. A finer example of the living out of the Christian faith will not be found.
If every person claiming to be a follower of Jesus Christ would love God and all others, as Neal did, with grace and tolerance, this old world would be a far better place. God blessed us through Neal and we are going to miss him until we see him again.
Thank you brother Neal!
Well done good and faithful servant of Jesus.

We loved Neal and Robbie so very much! We knew Neal and Robbie after they moved
back to Greene County and Larry went to school with Neal. We had been praying for Neal,
when he lost Robbie. At least now he is in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ and Robbie
singing glories with all the other angels. We loved how he had the scholarship at NGA
and Greene County High School. He was a wonderful Christian and was wonderful person
and helped so many families in our communities and many churches with his talent. Would
have loved to seen him play basketball!! He and Robbie both helped with Beth and Amy
weddings and when our Mother died and so glad he played for Dr. Rhodes funeral. He will
be so missed in so many ways. We will have all of the family in our thoughts and in our
PRAYERS for a while!! God Bless All of You during this time!

Dear Ms. Kay and family,

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time of loss. Mr. Neal was a great man. He touched our family in so many ways. He will be remembered as always having a smile on his face and a kind word to say. He has touched our boys as well. Justin was blessed to have Ms. Robbie as a kindergarten teacher and she helped him SO very much and when he was in the fifth grade he received the very first Robbie Dolvin award at UPE. He always presented Justin with a scholarship in his Senior year. So many precious memories to even to start to name them all. He was a very special man and will be missed by his family and friends. I know he is with his beloved wife Ms. Robbie and our Lord and Savior walking on the streets of gold and I'm sure God has a place for him in the music section of Heaven.

With much love and deepest sympathy,
