Family: Please accept my condolences and sympathy for your loss.
Ralph was very 'low' when I visited both Jimmy Channel and him in late August. Was very painful to see him in the condition he was in. He is now free of the pain/anguish and being blessed in eternity.
I first met Ralph when he married Loretta and he moved to Greensboro. We worked together at Mr. Strickland's PURE Oil station all Summer of 1954. We always got along well and worked hard together .
May God Bless/Rest his Soul and may he RIP.

Girls, I am so sorry to hear of your Daddy's death, I just learned from your Dad's obituary that Ms Loretta had died in 2013. I am so sorry for the loss of your parents. I know you they will be missed. Daddy loved your Momma's caramel cake! May you all find peace and comfort in your memories of them. Love, Marty

To the family of Ralph Simons: My sister, brother and I grew up in Edgewood with all the Simons brothers and sisters and we all caught the school bus together. I spent more time at Miss Edna's house (Ralph's mother) than I did at my own. I remember when Ralph and Loretta first got married and Teresa, I used to carry you around on my hip on Sunday afternoons when your mom and dad had spent the afternoon with the family. We all played together in the big gullies, digging steps down to our hide outs and also in the old abandoned school house on Miss Edna's property. Ralph and my brother built their own diving board at the river that surrounded our property and they also washed cars from the river water. I am so very sorry for your loss of Loretta and Ralph. They were good people, but he, especially had a lot of family waiting for him in heavenly places. Peace and blessing to all of you. I am too far away to attend the funeral, buy you will surely be in my thoughts and prayers. Former Bunny Edwards, former childhood neighbor
