Louise Nunn Grant

Louise Nunn Grant, age 86, of Crawfordville, Georgia, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, GA.  Born in Washington, GA on October 4, 1928, she was a daughter of the late William Frank Nunn and Ella Lee Rhodes Nunn.  She was a graduate of Alexander Stephens Institute in Crawfordville, GA.  She met William F. “Heavy” Grant and they married on May 12, 1950.   They made their home in Crawfordville and were the owners of Heavy’s Barbecue Restaurant.  She was a member of the Margaret’s Grove Baptist Church.  Louise enjoyed cooking and sewing.
 
Survivors include her son Perry Wayne Grant and his wife Lydia Grant of Crawfordville, GA; granddaughter, Lindsey Grant Duvall and her husband Tim of Crawfordville, GA; two great grandchildren, Austin Duvall and Autumn Duvall; other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Heavy Grant, her sister, Kathryn Nunn and son, Michael William Grant.

Private Graveside Services will be held at Margaret’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1791 Margaret’s Grove Road, Crawfordville, GA 30631 with Lamar Nix officiating.  Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N. So sorry for your loss, we visited many times during our tours of the County. We also held many reunions there. We always enjoyed hearing your stories and sharing family history too. YOU have so many members of your family and friends that will be missing you. Heavy's won't be the same without you. Lots of love is reaching out to the family too.
