Brenda and Becky;

We were sad to hear of your mom's passing. She is a very sweet lady, and we enjoyed our visit with her yesterday. Although her time was near, she was very sharp in her thinking and responses.

We send our love and support during this difficult time.

To all of Sophie's Family:

Sophie was a dear friend thru the years that I lived in Union Point.
She was such an inspiration to me at First Baptist and we worked
together in many areas of the church including WMU.
Sophie was such a true Christian Lady who loved her family and
always put them first. I know each one of you know what she meant
to you and you have returned that same love to her.

My heart is sad with her passing but I have no doubt that she is with her
Heavenly Father and with her dear Noel.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sadness.

Sincerely with Love to you,
Linda Stephens

Al, Becky and Brenda,
I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I will never forget all of the kindnesses that she has shown our family over the years. She was a very special lady in so many ways. I always knew she was a very strong Christian and she certainly lived her life showing the rest of us her belief in God. She did so many things for all of us who grew up in First Baptist Church in Union Point. My Mama (Emily Vaughn) will certainly miss her. They enjoyed many, many hours of phone conversation in recent years just keeping up with one another and each others' families. Please know that her influence will live on in the lives of so many. Treasure your many memories of your mother. My thoughts and prayers go with you all in the coming days.

Much love,
Susan Vaughn Spradley

God Bless her. My parents and us spent many summers at Sophie's and Noels place. My Father, Mike is now 91 and my late mother, Connie wrote Sophie many times through the years. I still remember her "southern Drawl" and can hear it now as I type. What good times we had back then. ..and her fried chicken was the Souths best!!!
(My Dad and her brother, Vern served together in the Marine Corps during WW2 and became life long friends)!!! God Bless you Sophie!!!
