My most sincere condolences go to Ilene and Elliott's family. I was Elliott's colleague for over 20 years at GSU and counted him as a real friend. He made such a large contribution to the study of accounting history in the United States. He will be missed by all of the accounting faculty.

Elliott was my brother-n-law. He also treated me with respect and let me know that he cared for me and my kids. He enjoyed me visiting him in Georgia. Even after his brother, Kenneth (my husband) died 22 years ago, he and Ileane would include me in many vacations. I will truly miss him, but I know he is in heaven with his mother, Estelle and Kenneth. Love you, Elliott!

I learned a lot as a student of Dr. Slocum at Ga State University. One of my favorite professors. Part of the reason I went into the profession myself.
