I was saddened when I heard of Frances's death, and wish to give you my sympathy. Although I have known her only a brief time, I have witnessed her strong faith, her graciousness, her remarkable acceptance and care for others, her optimism and sense of humor, and the stories/tales {which I suspect were embellished). I enjoyed singing the hymns in church with her; she sang beautifully. She was one of the first people I met when I moved here--she came with Jeannie Carlton to ask me if I played bridge. I regret that I had to say, "No." Most of all, she made me feel welcome in this town where I knew only my real estate agent. I believe just knowing her has made me a little bit better person. I will miss her.

I have some fond memories of Ms Frances... across the tennis net. She was a striking opponent and we shared many a game with love! A strong bridge player, as well, she was awesome using that same strategy on the trump as on the tennis court! I was glad to have known her and been a part of her recreational life experiences here in Greene County. She was true southern spirited lady that always had a smile and a welcome hand to offer.
