Please know that I'm praying for all of you at this time. I saw Dan two years ago at the Grand Class Reunion in Dunbar and we had time to visit. We even took a picture of the 17th Street gang. We grew up living three doors apart. And, I attended the wedding when Dan and Janet married. Phyllis Holstein Eason

dan was always a special person in our lives. when i held on to the horseshoe too long and tossed it way up in the air and hit dan on the head, he chased me down, but instead of beating me up, he only held me down and smiled at me with his beautiful blue eyes and told me not to do it again. dan took me under his wing and wild turkey hunting. for some 27 years i could call him on the phone and "yelp yelp yelp" and hear his laugh. every time. i always loved dan. brother tom.

Danny, as a member of the 17th street "gang" you will be sorely missed. Janet, I hope you and the kids are doing ok. Ok is about all you can hope for right now, but, the pain of loss will ease up in a while.
