To the McInteer Family, We are so sorry to hear about Troy. He was not only a great teacher, but a fine person. The school system will not be the same without him. My oldest son, Josh Holliday, had him when he was at Union Point Elem. (he is now a senior in college). Troy was always willing to help a student and never had a harsh word for anyone. Just know you all are in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. Jan and David Hallman, Josh and Robert Holliday

Mrs. McInteer, I am the very grateful parent of two wonderful boys that had the privledge of having your husband as a teacher. He was the type teacher that really & truly wanted to be there. Not because of the check or benefits but because he truly wanted to help teach our children, a rarity in deed. Please know that he will be remembered fondly. God seems to be taking his best home lately & we will seem them again some day, just probably not soon enough for most of us. Mrs. Tiffany Farmer thankful Mom of Nathan & Wyatt Farmer

Words could never express how saddened I have been since I heard this awful news. Troy was such a wonderful man. He was the man you could always depend on to take care of your children during the day and the staff as well. Troy was the man of the house at UPE most of the time. He was a great friend, co-worker, teacher, and even a father sometimes to those who might need a father figure at that time. Some parents sent there children to UPE until the 5th grade just so they could be taught by Mr. McInteer and Mrs. Moon the 5th grade team. He will be greatly missed in the school system and in the community as well. The only thing that helps sooth my sorrow is knowing that I serve a God who has a kingdom up in heaven waiting for me and knowing Troy is in his safe haven today. Sister just know that Dennis and I are praying for you and the rest of the family. The Mitchell Family

I'm still grasping for words today. My heart is breaking, my eyes are filled with tears, and my mind is racing, trying to come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful teacher, co-worker, and friend. This is such a huge loss because it involves losing a piece of ourselves ... a part of what was a very important part of our life. From very early on in our children’s school career at UPE, we looked forward to the year they would have Moon and Mc! We especially looked forward to this year because of Zach’s unique love for math. Also, we knew from Ivy’s experiences just two years before, what a wonderful year was in store for Zach. I will miss Mr. Mc dropping by the Technology Department at the end of the day to pick up toner, or the calls from him about technology issues for UPE. He always asked about Ivy (who is now in the 7th grade) and about Zach (who started the 5th grade this year). He truly loved and cared for each one of his students. Mr. Mc will live forever in the lives of everyone he touched. Not just in the lives of his students; but in the lives of their parents, his co-workers, his friends, and his loved ones. Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. Mr. McInteer taught my son, Tucker 06-07 school year and we just loved him. He truely enjoyed being a teacher! My daughter and I were looking forward to having him for a teacher in a couple of years. His untimely passing will leave a void that cannot be filled. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I had the pleasure of working with Troy as he volunteered to coach in the Little League and T-Ball program through the Greene County Parks and Recreation Department. He had patience and a great teaching disposition back then. Thanks, Troy for your good works for the kids over the years. You will be missed. May you rest in peace in Jesus Christ name, I pray.

I just read of Troy's passing in the paper and to say the least, I was shocked and saddened. He was a wonderful teacher and so much help to me when I was a substitute at UPE. And, of course, my late husband, Al, thought the world of him. He kept a picture of one of the Friday evening "teacher meetings" on his desk and Troy's smiling face was there. I know your heart is aching and there are no words to make it better. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Connie
