Mrs. McCommons was my 6th grade teacher at Indian Creek Elementary in Clarkston, GA in 1960/61. I remember her telling us about being the Farm Bureau Queen and being from the eastern part of Georgia. I thought of her today because of today being the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of John F. Kennedy and the fact that she had a TV available for us to watch history being made. That mattered to her and she taught us as students to appreciate our own history. Danny Bowman
