I can remember working at Sunrise when he would come in the store with Robby and Joey, with the kids hardly able to look over the counter. We had some great times just talking on those days. I know words can't help at this time. But I just want you to know, If you all need anything let us know. In the loving memory of Mr. Franklin, David and Jeanie Ashley

Wanda, you and your boys are in my thoughts and prayers. Just know that God has a plan and that everything happens for a reason. We may not know what that plan is, but in God's time you will know. Take comfort and know that when you don't have anywhere else to look, you can always look up for whatever comfort and peace you may need. Franklin was a great friend and always talked about how you kept him in line. Then he'd follow that with his little laugh. I always enjoyed talking with him at the Golden Pantry. Take care, and if you need me, just e-mail or call. Love you all, Sheila McCannon

My deepest sympathy to you, Wanda, & the boys. I've known you all since I was a little girl, & I thought the world of Franklin! I had my own business in Veazey, Ga. for awhile, & Franklin would come in & get him a cup of coffee, or a hamburger for lunch, & he always had time to ask about the family or just make small talk. People like that are very rare now, he was very special. He was a good man that loved his family. You all will be in my thoughts & prayers. He will be greatly missed, but you will see him again someday. Hold on to your faith & the good Lord will get you through, even though sometimes you may not think so.I was not able to attend the funeral, but my heart was with you all. May God bless you & the family, & continue to guide you through your time of need. My love & deepest sympathy, Laurie S. Harris
