I'm so sad about Harvey. I haven't spent much time in Greene County in a lot of years, but I'll never forget Harvey. He (and Sid Bryson) always kept the Sunday School hopping - do you suppose he'll have to face Miss Myrtice in Heaven? Susan Elder

Mr. Harvey will be greatly missed. I will always remember him as a hard-worker, good leader, and a voice of common sense and reason. As a child, I would look forward to seeing him on Sundays because he'd always offer me a stick of Wrigley's spearmint gum after church. Siloam UMC will really miss him as will my family. We love you, Mr. Harvey. Kay, Tom, and family

I remember seeing Uncle Harvey @ Lakeside Restaurant almost every weekend. He always had some "wise" saying or anecdote to pass along. He also taught my father, Larry and I many things about the Higdon side of the family we didn't know. He will truly be missed. My deepest condolences on the loss of such a wonderful "character".

Mr. Harvey was a great friend of my family as a customer of our business with the grocery store in Sparta and then we turned around was a customer of his at the store there. Daddy always admired Mr. Harvey for how well he ran the store. He was a great asset to two communities. Our prayers and sympathies are with the family. May God comfort you in this time of loss.

We were so sorry to hear of Harvey's illness and passing. He was a good friend, always had a smile. We always picked at him about running for county commissioner again. He was the best chairman Greene County ever had. You are in our prayers.
