Hans Christian “Ike” Hansen, age 83, of Greensboro, Georgia, died on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born on December 30, 1928 in Albany, Missouri to the late Hans C. and Grace Hansen. He graduated from Iowa Falls High School and worked for Rock Island Railroad as a car Inspector. He married Shirley Ward on September 24, 1948. Mr. Hansen was of the United Methodist Faith and enjoyed fishing, playing cards and telling stories. In addition to his wife of sixty-four years, Shirley E. Hansen of Greensboro, GA, Hans is survived by three daughters, Carol Hansen Roeck, Debra Hansen and Mary Hansen; a son, Daniel Hansen; sister, Meta Parker; two brothers, John and Mathis Hansen; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Grandpa, I miss you each and every day!! I still can't believe you have gone. If I know you, you are making everyone smile and laugh up there!! I'm sure you have taught everyone how to play cribbage and kings in the corner. But most of all I bet you have already made friends with everyone!!! You were and are a very special and loved man!!! You are dearly missed Grandpa!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!
