They don't come any finer than Howell Cobb. My association with him was relatively short, via the Monday Tennis Group. However, I quickly realized that he was a fine gentleman and someone you would want to be friends with. He fought a brave and courageous battle. God rest his soul.

What a darling young man Howell was, and how much fun we had as kids. The adult Howell was just as darling, and we had just as much fun the few times we got together. I have some stories, Jane, to share someday. Meanwhile, I'm so glad you were his wife. Someday, maybe, we'll see each other again; meanwhile, you were amazing to the end. Love, Sis

Howell was a dear friend and a strong Christian witness in all he said and did. One could not doubt his relationship with Jesus, and anytime spent with Howell in a group or one to one would always confirm that love for Jesus and what he did for as Howell would often say, "for shuch a wretch like me" making clear the change that the Lord can create in a person. Blessings to Jane. Howell will be missed by many.

Dear, dear Mrs. Cobb. I am so sorry to get the hard news of your precious husband's death. My esteem for my college roommate's parents was almost as high as for my own and it always surprised me as I went through life that so few girls had such warm and tender relationships with their fathers as Joyce and I did. To me, she and I enjoyed a model with our earthly father of what God intends for all of us with our heavenly father. What a blessing. Please know you are in my prayers as you learn to lean on Jesus without your husband by your other side. I am so sorry. Kris
