Ms. Mary- I am thinking of you at this sad time in your life. My prayers are with you and your family. Try to think of Mr. Gene in a better place--he is no longer in pain or suffering. I am so glad I got to know him--he was always so kind to me. I will remember him with loving and "fun" memories.

Dear Mary, I just received my Herald Tribune and saw that Gene had passed. Billy said he saw you and Gene at Publix not long ago. I am so sorry we did not know or we would have shown our respects for him by visiting the funeral home. He was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor, and we know you will miss him dearly. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Sincerely, Billy and Cecelia

Gene, you were the very best neighbor that anyone could ever wish for. We will hang onto the memories of evenings on the deck, overlooking the lake, with you and Mary. May you rest in peace with the angels. We love you.
